Spices and Life

Welcome! We are a couple of moms that love to cook and want to share our recipes with you. We also love to do crafts, both with our children and also by ourselves, we will be sharing our favorites with you!  We both love to find recipes that we can alter to make them family friendly, nobody likes to have to cook separate meals for everyone in the family!  We also love to include our children in our kitchen time as much as possible. We find age appropriate jobs for them to do, they love being involved and seeing the end result of their hard work! They especially love it when the end result is a delicious dessert.  I have to say, that is probably our favorite also!

We have been friends for years and have shared recipes and craft ideas. We both love to crochet so we are frequently doing crochet projects together, but not together physically.  We live in two different states so while we do not see each other often, we communicate every day in other ways.  The internet and text messaging has helped us to stay in touch tremendously!  Sometimes we have lengthy conversations, other times we just send each other funny things on social media.  We are very excited to share our recipes and other ideas with you also!

Our youngest children are very close in age so we frequently share stories about them and help each other out, or just laugh together at our children's silliness!  Our children are the center of our worlds so the majority of the day is about them, whether we are cooking for them or helping them do projects or teaching them new things.  When we are not busy with our kids, we both like to watch movies, read and find our own projects to do.
