Reese's Rice Krispie Treats

Rice Krispie Treats are great when they are the regular ones, with just marshmallows, but when you add Reeses Minature candies, they go to a whole new level! Reeses are my favorite candy so I had to add them to a batch of Rice Krispie Treats. I have never made them without them since then. They make a good dessert into a great dessert and they are not any harder to make than regular Rice Krispie Treats! The only problem with them is they disappear very fast! I may have hidden a few so I knew I would get some later.

These are a good year round dessert, but especially in the summertime. You do not have to turn on your oven and heat up your house. And, they can be made ahead of time! If you need to bring a dessert somewhere, make these day or two ahead of time and they are just as good as the day you made them. It is also easy to make a double batch, so you can feed a big crowd!

I like to reserve part of the Reeses and marshmallows so there is some that are not completely melted. That gives them more flavor and they are pretty to look at! If you want them a certain color, you can add food dye to the marshmallow/butter mixture after you have heated it on the stove.

The recipe for these is pretty simple, you just need Rice Krispies, Reeses minature candies, mini marshmallows and butter. I also used wax paper and non stick spray to help flatten them in the pan. I do not chop the Reeses up, I leave them whole. The first ones will melt with the marshmallow/butter mixture, the rest will partially melt but not all the way so there is chunks of Reeses throughout the dessert!
