Spicy Sausage Cheese Dip

This is one of our favorite dips! We make it for parties or just to have for dinner. It is very cheesy with a little spiciness! We use Jimmy Dean's hot sausage and it has just the right amount of spiciness, kids and adults love it! If you do like spicy, use any regular sausage, if you like extra spicy, add red pepper flakes to it. We always try to make extra so we can use the leftovers to make macaroni and cheese. It is a great and delicious way to use the leftovers. And it makes dinner fast and easy!

We serve the dip with tortilla chips, you can use whatever you would like, just make sure it is strong enough to hold the dip! Vegetables tastes great with it too. My favorites are carrots, celery, cauliflower and broccoli.

We cook it on the stove and then we put it in our crockpot to keep it warm. This works great for parties when people are eating at different times. The crockpot keeps the temperature steady so you do not have to constantly stir it like you do when it is on the stove. You can make it a day ahead of time and keep it in the refrigerator until you are ready to use it. This makes party day easier!

You can use any combination of cheese that you want, sometimes we use monterey and cheddar, like in this recipe, but sometimes we use pepperjack cheese, mozzerella or whatever else we have on hand. It is easy to make more or less of this recipe, just adjust all ingredients.
