My kids love Italian Sodas. They would drink them everyday if I let them. They can be very expensive so we decided to make our own. They are fun and easy to make. I buy Torani syrups form a local Cash and Carry for under $5 a bottle, so it is pretty cheap to make our own.
My kids love that they can pick a new flavor each time we make them. We have about 10 bottles of syrup. The syrups can also be used in iced teas and other drinks! My daughter's favorite is cherry lime and my son's favorite is blue raspberry. They also like to mix flavors and make new kinds. They can make the drinks themselves, I just watch to make sure they measure correctly. They drink them at home or put them in cups with lids and take them with us. This saves a lot of money and then they know they will like them also!

We use 16 ounce cups, fill them almost full of ice then add 3 TBSP syrup, 1 TBSP half and half then fill the rest of the way with club soda. Stir until well mixed. Top with whipped cream if you want, also add sprinkles cherries or other garnishes.
These are a great idea for a birthday party or any party. They are easy to make and it is simple to change the flavors so everyone has the flavor they want. You could also offer different toppings.
