Graham Cracker Almond Bark

My family asks for this dessert all the time. They love it. I love it also, it tastes great, but it is always one of the easiest desserts to make. I make it in under 10 minutes and it only takes that long because I have to melt the almond bark. I chop all the candy and cookies while it is melting so they will be ready after I pour the almond bark over the graham crackers.

Another great thing about this dessert is, you can use any candy or cookies you have. You can even use different kinds of graham crackers. If you do not like or have the candies and cookies I used, use whatever you want. For Halloween I am going to use Halloween Oreos, they have an orange filling. And I am always going to find some Halloween colored candies. For Valentines Day I used pink, red and white m and ms. It was so pretty! Christmas is fun too, there are so many different kinds of candy in red and green. So, pick what you want, the colors you and have fun with it!

First, I put the almond bark in a pan, then I start chopping the candy and cookies, then, I line a pan with wax paper, or you can use foil. Next, I put the graham crackers down on the pan. When the almond bark is fully melted, I put it over the graham crackers, then I spread it out evenly over the graham crackers.

I had asked my family ahead of time what they wanted, my husband wanted just Reeses, my daughter wanted Oreos, junior mints and m and ms, and my son said he wanted it all. This dessert is very easy to make in different sections. I made the middle a little of everything, it is my favorite, just like my sons.

Every time I make almond bark I do it different. I do not always use graham crackers, but I love it with graham crackers, that is my favorite way of making it. Then only thing you have to get exactly right is melting the almond bark, it is not hard but you want to make sure you stir it once it starts to melt so it does not burn.

This is a great dessert to take to pot lucks or other get togethers, every time I have made it and brought it, it has disappeared very fast. The almond bark will begin to melt if it gets too warm so make sure you have a cool place for it if it will be sitting very long.
