Finding Your Patronus (Finally!)
The Wizarding World of Pottermore is back at it again with a new quiz! This time, creators have made it possible for you to discover the shape of your Patronus.
It’s an animation quiz that flies through the Forbidden Forest, stopping randomly to have you choose between 2-3 words. It’s off of these choices that your Patronus is found. I’ve seen a variety, between mutual Potterheads, anywhere from a cat to a bird of prey.
The music that goes along with it is almost like a mystical, whimsy, darkness. If that makes any sense, which I’m sure it doesn’t. And moving the mouse is followed by a tail of “glitter.” It’s a cute little touch. By the end of the quiz, you can find yourself at the lake where Harry successfully cast the Patronus Charm against the Dementors.
I’ve taken the quiz and found my Patronus to be a Marsh Harrier, a bird of prey. The one downside? It doesn’t give any sort of description as to what or why or how this came to be my Patronus. In the other quizzes, Howgarts House, Ilvermorny House, your wand, they have clear descriptions of each. Could this be because there are far more options, as far as animals go? Probably. Will they be adding descriptions in the future? Hopefully.
