So I Finally Read Gone Girl...

As this post title suggests, I have finally read Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn.

When I choose a book to read, I look for a nice, easy-going read. Thrillers aren't usually my style, and this book was a total game changer. It's been quite a while since I've read something that's kept me up into the long hours of the night, probably not since Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

If you haven't read it yet, pick it up. I thought I had it all figured out, but I was completely wrong. I will warn some of the more conservative readers, it uses a lot of various words for genitalia. I know that some people have a problem with the "super 'c' word," but that's not for me to judge on.

Nick's wife goes missing, police begin to pinpoint Nick. Nick tries to prove his innocence. But at every turn, he's met with more incriminating evidence, or lack of evidence. The twists and turns are enough to keep you biting your nails. The anxiety of the unknown is enough to maybe make dinner a little late to the table.

I will admit, it was a little slow for the first chapter or 2, even though everything starts pretty much right away. But once I got into the swing, and mindset, it was a breeze.

I don't want to give any spoilers, because I could talk for days about it. So go pick it up, the movie does the book no justice (obviously).
